Paranormal phenomena is a broadly described, little investigated area of scientific awareness. The science covers concepts like hauntings, apparitions, unexplained spectacles and phenomena comparable to the psychic realm and ability. Thought process is a science that lends idea to hypotheses or research to theory and eventually, fact to law. We have knowledge and understanding of occurrences that are beyond our scope of living and communicating, but in the area of the supernatural and paranormal intelligence, we are uneducated, unskilled and limited. The wisdoms are restricted to individual experience and can be difficult to record or impossible to share. These areas of encounter are given over to clergy, spiritual advisors and philosophers without regard to investigation. NCHAGS seeks to renew inspection by applying research, obtaining proof, thought process, hypotheses, theory and eventual law that man can comprehend, calculate and evaluate.
NCHAGS is a Raleigh based group consisting of four members with a wide scope of experience and skepticism. The team seeks to narrow the range of ignorance in the area of paranormal phenomena and research by applying investigation. Combined of both skeptics and believers, the crew will apply technical equipment, personal knowledge, and individual experience to research occurrences of an unexplained nature.
The four members of this team work together to perform an exacting investigation of both equipment and persons with paranormal gifts such as clairvoyance. Most of the group members have had experiences prior to beginning investigations, but one is a decided skeptic. The skeptic adds balance to the team, allowing for an assessment without bias. The investigations executed by this team are diverse as well. They have investigated well known haunts such as the NC Battleship at Wilmington, Dorothea Dix Hospital and the Devil's Tramping Ground not to mention private homes and residences. For a list of the well known haunts they have investigated, please visit http://www.NCHAGS.org.
Eddie became interested in the paranormal as a result of childhood experiences in his home. At night when his home was quiet and empty except for himself, he would hear something walking on the stairs, but when he went to see what was there, he could find nothing. The television volume would go up and down. Eventually, he seen an apparition. His experiences were confirmed for him when he had some friends sleeping over one night. Suddenly a door opened and shut for no reason at all. These experiences created a curiosity in Eddie who seeks to honestly prove or disprove hauntings and to obtain evidence for compilation. Eddie hopes that one day these types of experiences will be better understood for what they are and for their true causes. Eddie also seeks to help others who are struggling with similar experiences. Having had experiences himself, he feels a basic urge or calling to lend any assistance that he can to those who have related encounters.
Andy, another team member, has had some interesting encounters since he was very young. The dead seem to be attracted to Andy and will sometimes visit him. People like Andy are fascinating because they seem to have a deep sense of the other realities that exist around us. Some people struggle against these realities, but Andy has a gift and seems able to function well within it. I have often wondered about this type of gift. The movie Sixth Sense gave us all a theatrical look at the existence of these gifts without giving us a true description of what it must be like for a person who lives with the occurrences.
Jeff is the group's skeptic. Skepticism in this type of group is mandatory if you plan to look at these investigations with a critical eye. Jeff is very interested in all things paranormal and metaphysical, but lends a conservative thought process to all explorations. The group never leaves home without him. Without Jeff, none of the investigations would be completely balanced, though all of the team members are committed to truth in every investigation.
I found this out quite by accident. I was reviewing their NC Battleship videos. I believed that I seen a shadowy type figure in what appeared to be a hallway, or a wall reflection. I immediately passed this on to one of the group members who took another look at the video. I quickly got a response back that there was nothing there. I was positive there was so I insisted that he look at the particular frame. The team member was so thorough that he still shot and blew up the video/photograph for me. Once he did, I could clearly see that there was nothing there. I felt a little foolish, but had a newfound confidence in this team and their investigations.
Mike is the team empath. Mike has positive or negative feelings around entities, and/or people and situations. His empathy is a great help in any inspection of a haunted site. Without an empath, a team is often handicapped. A good empath like Mike can make great suggestions about where to place equipment, what to look for and how to protect the team members. A good empath can aid an investigation in a way that a technical person cannot. Mike also has prophetic dreams. He will dream something that occurs only days later.
If you are experiencing an type of haunting or phenomena, I'd suggest you contact NCHAGS. Again, that website is NCHAGS.org or they can be found on Youtube at: http://www.youtube.com/user/eddiereddie. Good luck to all in your paranormal lives!
That is good information. This field needs deeper exploration and skeptics should definitely be included.
